Pre-Law Certificate
Credits Required: 13-15 Credits
The undergraduate Pre-Law Certificate is offered to students who are interested in applying to law school and pursuing a career in law. This certificate is an option in our pre-law programming and advising.
The Pre-law Certificate is awarded upon or after the student’s graduation from a bachelor’s degree.
Admissions Requirements
Written Communication and Information Literacy I (WRI 1100 or WRI 1150) and Written Communication and Information Literacy II (WRI 1200 or WRI 1250); or Residential Honors (HON) 1000.
Program Learning Outcomes
Students who complete the Undergraduate Pre-Law Certificate will be able to:
Demonstrate foundational legal reasoning and analytical skills
Understand the structure of the legal profession
Demonstrate readiness for law school and legal practice environments
