Description

This clinical component of NUR 2980 focuses on critical thinking and application of the nursing process in psychiatric, medical, and community settings working with patients and families who are experiencing emotional/ psychological and behavioral distress. Students will be working with individuals and families across the life span. Students will be performing mental status assessments, assisting patients and family members in all settings to identify needs and develop coping behaviors and learn how to problem-solve to reduce distress.
