Human Resource Development (HRD) is the strategic and integrated use of training and development, organizational development, and other talent management activities to improve individual and from the Association for Talent Development, the Academy of Human Resource Development, and the Society for Human Resource Management. The program focuses on the development of student knowledge and capabilities in the following nine competency areas:
Strategic Talent Management
Instructional Design
Training Delivery
E-learning and Learning Technologies
Measurement, Evaluation, and Analytics
Organizational Development
Organizational Leadership
Organizational Staffing
Project Management
To complete the bachelor's degree, students must complete a minimum total of 120 credits with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0.
PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of the program students who major in human resource development will be able to:
Describe, design, recommend, and evaluate training and development activities aimed at increasing the performance of individuals or groups in organizational setting.
Describe, design, recommend, and evaluate organizational development activities based on behavioral science that are aimed at increasing the effectiveness of organizations.
Describe, design, recommend, and evaluate talent management strategies or systems to attract, utilize, and retain people with the skills and aptitude required to meet organizational goals.
Develop a holistic perspective of HRD activities by creating an HRD project aligned with the strategic business objectives of an organization.
