Overview
Description
This is the first of three required practicum courses designed for students to apply theory and master skills necessary for entry-level positions in public health. A minimum of 126 hours of nonpaid work experience in a pre-professional, managerial, supervisory, or technical setting in a career-related area under supervised conditions. Students will focus on the first two Areas of the Certified Health Education Specialist Responsibilities and Competencies (Area I: Assess Needs, Assests, and Capacity for Health Education; Area II: Plan Health Education).
