Description

This course is designed to examine the cultural and societal influences which shape psychological issues among Asian Americans. Contextual issues underlying Asian American psychological experiences will be examined which include: racism and discrimination, values and cultural conflicts, ethnic minority identity and status, and the immigration experience. Asian American' concepts of the self, interpersonal relationships, gender roles, and sexual identity will also be addressed.
