Evidence-Based Drug-Abuse Treatments

As a sequel to PSY 3140, this course focuses on interventions for drug abuse and using the scientific method to assess which treatments are useful. Approaches covered may include 1) harm reduction, 2) motivational interviewing, 3) relapse prevention, 4) contingency management, 5) other cognitive-behavioral therapies, and 6) mutual-help groups.
