Description
Medical sociology is the study of individual and group behaviors as they relate to health and illness. This course examines the social construction of disease, personal and societal responses to illness, and the health care system within the framework of sociological theory and research. There is a special focus on the distribution of health care resources based on ethnicity, age, gender and ability to pay.
