Sociological Research

The sociology capstone is intended to provide senior sociology students with an opportunity to integrate and apply previous learning through the creation and implementation of a research project informed by sociological theory. This research project is intended to demonstrate mastery of the knowledge, skills, ethics and values necessary for sociological practice and further graduate study. The Capstone Project gives students the opportunity to contribute to the knowledge-base of sociology and develop and enhance professional presentation skills through the creation and delivery of a poster presentation and writing of an executive summary describing the project.
