Description

After characterizing the features of world languages, we investigate the implications for teaching that language. We examine multilingual and gilingual societies in regerence to English, the grammatical and discourse standards needed to supoort ESL/EFL, and finally the role of culture in teaching a world language. ESL/EFL examples from various countries are presented throughout.
