Course Description

This course is an ethnographic approach to social activism with a focus on Hawaii and Hawaiian organizations. Through a combination of field trips, observations and readings, this course will introduce students to the basic concepts of anthropology and ethnographic studies as it relates to social activism and a changing society as viewed within the Oahu microcosm.
