Description

Students work in teams for the design of a working prototype or systems-based practical solution by application of fundamentals in biotechnology engineering to a real-world challenge or problem, with focus in bioprocess or bioenvironmental engineering. Students are expected to design a prototype that addresses a real-world challenge within either specialization, such as addressing waste management, biomass or biofuel reuse, improvement of water, air or soil quality, address food contamination, improve food processing technologies, innovate in manufacturing process-based systems.
