Course Description

This summer graduate course consists of a two week travel component to a tropical ecosystem, after a four week online introduction to the issues and questions involved in understanding the impact of humans on tropical ecology and sustainability. Students will examine how human values and choices affect tropical ecosystems, conservation and sustainability so they can develop their own perspective from their experiences, culminating in a final assignment and discussion submitted after returning home. Note: there is a $750 fee associated with this course.
