Course Description
This course examines the Military History of Hawaii from the time of the unification of the Hawaiian Kingdom to present. A “new military history” approach will be used that emphasizes institutions as well as “battle studies”. The course content is organized around field study visits of significant battlefield and historical sites in Hawai`i.
