This course will cover basic principles of aquaculture, including water quality, microbial ecology, systems engineering, and animal nutrition. This course will illustrate how these principles are used in fish and crustacean culture. The course will use facilities and the research programs in place at The Oceanic Institute to demonstrate the concepts described in the lectures.
