Possible topics include: Babylonian, Egyptian, Greek, Chinese, Hindu, and Arabian mathematics; European mathematics in the middle ages and the Renaissance; the development of calculus, number theory abstract algebra, non-Euclidean geometry, set theory, and information theory.
