Overview
Description
Students will critically analyze the history, trends, future outlook, and issues regarding drugs, drug use, and misuse, as well as the attitudes, values, policies, and practices of diverse groups, communities, and populations. This course takes a multidisciplinary approach to study the effects of drug use and misuse (e.g., over-the-counter drugs, ilicit drugs, tobacco, and alcohol) in human physiology and society. Community and population health promotion are emphasized in this course.
