Culture and Health

This course explores the relationships and dynamics among various components of culture, health, and illness. Focus is placed on understanding the impact of culture health, health beliefs, and health practices, with emphasis on different multicultural populations. The impacts of societal norms, legal/political factors, and ethical considerations influencing health education, health promotion, program planning/implementation/evaluation, healthcare policies, service delivery, and health disparities are addressed.
