Description

A capstone course in the TIM curriculum that integrates material mastered in various core classes. The primary objective is to provide a platform where students can integrate the skills and knowledge that they have acquired. This course stresses the utilization of critical thinking and analytical skills in the decision-making process. Students develop a concept and strategic business plan for a new TIM business, and then launch and operate this business utilizing a computer simulation model to replicate real life conditions. All aspects of planning for and operating a business are addressed including financial, legal, and organizational structuring, development, marketing, human resources, MIS, budgeting, and operating systems. Students operate in a dynamic and changing environment and be required to make both strategic and tactical decisions based on continuous research and review of the financial and non financial reports and situations provided.
