Course Description

An introduction to the major theories and issues in the field of second language learning and second language teaching. Topics include first language acquisition, theories of second language acquisition, factors affecting second language acquisition, and learner language. Contemporary perspectives on designing, managing, and assessing language classes will also be covered. Prerequisite: C- or better in AL 2000 (concurrent enrollment allowed)
