Research Methods in Clinical and Counseling Psychology

Course Restrictions: Restricted to students in the Master of Arts in Psychology (Mandarin) program.

Covers methods of empirical research particularly applicable to clinical and counseling situations primary emphasis on interpretation, evaluation and application of published research in professional settings. General research design in clinical psychology, with an emphasis on experimental design and control (#science). Topics include use of human participants in research, reliability and validity, observational methods, and survey and longitudinal designs.
